The Childlike Empress and Bastian, from The Neverending Story.
Another of my favorite books/movies. I was watching it the other day and I felt like drawing it. This one of the final scenes, in which the Childlike Empress is showing Bastian all that's left of her "vast empire" (a grain of sand). As usual, the drawings don't look anything like the movie characters, but what are you gonna do. I'm not sure I like it, and I'm not sure why I'm not sure I like it. Lol! Hmmm... I might go back and fix the light, it's too... thick. |

Looking at this illustration, I can almost hear the musical strains of the catchy 80's theme song (by Limahl, and Giorgio Moroder) slowly starting to grow louder.
