"I'd like to hear you play," I volunteered.
"It's settled then." Esme pushed him toward the piano. He pulled me along, sitting me on the bench beside him.
He gave me a long, exasperated look before he turned to the keys.
And then his fingers flowed swiftly across the ivory, and the room was filled with a composition so complex, so luxuriant, it was impossible to believe only one set of hands played. (...)
The music slowed, transforming into something softer, and to my surprise I detected the melody of his lullaby weaving through the profusion of notes.
"You inspired this one," he said softly. The music grew unbearably sweet.
I couldn't speak. (...)
I glanced behind me, but the huge room was empty now.
"Where did they go?"
"Very subtly giving us some privacy, I suppose." (...)
The song he was still playing, my song, drifted to an end, the final chords shifting to a more melancoly key. The last note hovered poignantly in the silence.
"Thank you," I murmured. I realized there were tears in my eyes.

Finally!! This drawing was a bitch, seriously. In the end I had to take a picture of my boyfriend sitting on my piano to use as a reference (for Edward and the piano of course). My piano isn't a grand piano, but I improvised

I wanted this to be very light, without a lot of shadows, or furniture or even walls, and kind of simple too. I added the texture to give the background a little something; I wanted it bare, but not boring. The wooden floor is a little "rough", but I wanted a bit of a vintage feeling and I think that and the texture help.

Bella should be wearing her hair in a ponytail, but I just love drawing her hair loose like that She's wearing that blue blouse Edward is so fond of, he he he he!

Oh, and this is IMPORTANT: this was VERY inspired by the song "River Flows In You" by Yurima [link]
I just love it as Bella's song and I know they won't use it in the movie, but it's still her lullaby in my head.
